Free Eye Camp Restores Vision for 34 Patients in Ramewal Village

PHAGWARA: A free eye screening and surgery camp was organized at Ramewal village in collaboration with Dr. Rajan Eye Care, Fagwara. During the camp, around 300 patients underwent ophthalmic examinations, while 260 needy individuals received free medicines and prescription spectacles.

A medical team led by eye specialist Dr. S. Rajan selected 34 patients for surgery and successfully implanted foldable lenses, restoring clear vision to all of them. Speaking on the occasion, village sarpanch Jagdish Singh lauded Dr. Rajan Eye Care for its significant contribution to public welfare, noting that such initiatives greatly benefit economically weaker families.

Dr. Rajan informed that all surgical patients were also provided with protective eyewear free of cost. In addition, 260 individuals with vision issues received corrective spectacles at no charge. Offering essential eye-care guidance, he advised patients to use prescribed eye drops regularly and protect their eyes from sunlight, dust, and smoke. Emphasizing the importance of timely treatment, he urged people not to ignore early symptoms of eye diseases and to seek expert medical advice without delay.

The organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to Dr. S. Rajan and his entire medical team for their dedicated service. Prominent villagers present at the camp included Amarjit Singh Nambardar, Balkar Singh, Ghogi Singh, Charanjit Singh, and other respected community members.
