Tejashwi Yadav slams Nitish Kumar govt over delay in TRE-4 recruitment

PATNA: Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the Nitish Kumar government over the delay in the TRE-4 teacher recruitment process, alleging that the prolonged uncertainty has adversely affected the state’s youth.

In a statement, Tejashwi highlighted the achievements of the previous Grand Alliance government, saying that during his 17-month tenure as Deputy Chief Minister, over 2.2 lakh recruitments were made under TRE-1 and TRE-2 in a transparent and time-bound manner within deadlines, and without any incidents of paper leaks.

He also noted that the TRE-3 process had been initiated but was later disrupted after the government changed in January 2024.

Tejashwi Yadav alleged that despite promises made by the current government, the TRE-4 recruitment process has seen no concrete progress. “Nearly a year has passed since the announcement, yet even the vacancies for TRE-4 have not been released,” he said.

He pointed out that, as per the Bihar Public Service Commission calendar, the examination was originally scheduled for August 2024, but has been repeatedly delayed.
